  • 18 years of age with successfully completed 12 year secondary education
  • English language skills at a level equal to IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 500
  • Hospitality orientation and good personality

Bachelor Degree Entry Requirements

  • Students, whose mother tongue is other than English, must provide an IELTS 6.0 or equivalent certificate in order to receive an offer by the university.

PGD and Master Degree Entry Requirements

  • Minimum entry age - 23 years
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Students whose mother tongue is other than English, must provide an IELTS 6.5 or equivalent certificate in order to receive a conditional offer by the university.

Language Requirements

  • The English proficiency requirement for each specific course varies from program to program. As such, a student is expected to have no less than an IELTS 5.5 score or equivalent to enter BHMS as a first year Diploma student. While BHMS does not require an official certificate, should the student not be able to speak and understand sufficient English, BHMS will require the student to take an additional three months ESL (English as a Second Language) course. Exact competency can only be assessed once the student has arrived in Switzerland.

  •
  • The Robert Gordon University requires an IELTS 6.0 score or equivalent for direct entry into the Bachelor Program. If the student is a BHMS two-year Higher Diploma graduate, this language requirement will be considered as sufficient evidence for entry without the actual certificate as all Diploma courses are taught in English and at NVQ Level 4 or above. The same holds true for entry to the University of Brighton's BA (Hons) program.

  •
  • An IELTS 6.5 score is an entry requirement for CityU's MBA program. The M.B.A. is also offered in a language assisted format for those students whose first language is not English. In the Assisted Master of Business Administration program (A.M.B.A.), students are assigned a language specialist for each course. Students meet with their language specialist for two hours after each class. The added benefits of enrolling in the A.M.B.A. program are language assistance with course materials and additional skill-specific English practice. Students finish the program with the confidence needed to do business in any English-speaking environment.
